Snack Surprise - August 2020 - France

 Hey guys and welcome to another blog post 😀 and what better surprise than a snack box turning up when you don't even know it has been sent! 😁 This month we are travelling to France. I'm really excited about this as I love French products and the box doesn't disappoint 😀 As always I will update the review throughout the month as I try the various items.


Oasis Tropical

A non carbonated drink with fruit and spring water.

My review 
This just tastes like tropical fruit juice. It was nice and refreshing. 
Cracky Crepes



Pancakes filled with melting chocolate and crispy cereal balls.

My review

These are interesting in a good way. I have had standard chocolate filled crepes numerous times, however these ones contain little crunchy balls which definitely add to the taste and make them even more awesome 😀

M&M Biscuits


A biscuit covered with a layer of milk chocolate and decorated with M&M sweets

My review 

Have we sold these in england at any point? These are nice biscuits covered with chocolate and m&ms. I like them but they seem familiar to me.


Tetes Brulees 

Hard, Sour Candy Balls that paint the tongue. The box contains both raspberry and strawberry flavours

Malabar

Pink Tutti Frutti Bubble Gum


My review 


I'm not really a fan of bubble gum. This just tastes like fruit flavoured gum, I wasn't that impressed to he honest, but it's not usually the sort of thing I enjoy.

Belin Minizza

Extra Fine Dough Crackers. These look like tiny pizzas and are flavoured with tomato, cheese and herbs.

My review 

These are amazing! Like pizza flavoured crackers. I'm half Australian and they are similar to pizza flavour shapes that are sold there except with a softer texture. I ate half the box in 1 go as they were so good!

Lutti Koala

Koala shaped marshmallows covered in milk chocolate

My review 

These are so good! They're really cute marshmallows shaped like koalas and covered in milk chocolate. I've never heard of them before, but I will definitely look out for them on my next trip to france 😀

Monster Munch

Ham and Cheese flavoured little monsters - the box could include ketchup flavour instead


My Review


Don't be fooled by the name! These are nothing like the UK version of monster munch! They are actually like monster shaped pom bears. The flavour is nice, not too strong. These are awesome in my book😀

Chips A L'ancienne 

Old fashioned crisps by Lays 


My review 


These are literally just the French version of walkers ready salted crisps.  Nothing special about them to be honest.

Haribo Dragibus

Soft Jelly Sweets  with a colourful sugar coating and delicious fruity flavours

These are awesome. Like little chewy sweets. Very moreish

Petits Coeurs

Crispy Puff Pastry Cookies with a tasty chocolate heart


My review 


These are interesting and not at all what I expected from them. The biscuit tasted a little like Ritz crackers with a smooth chocolate centre. They are very tasty and interesting. 

St. Michel Doonut

A chocolate covered Donut


My review


This was just a chocolate covered donut. Nothing particularly special about it but it did taste good.

Lu Barquette

Soft biscuits with a jam filling


My review

These are literally my favourite biscuits in the world. They are soft, almost sponge like biscuits with a delicious jam centre. The apricot ones are my favourite!

La Madeleine d'armor 

A small shell shaped buttery and sweet sponge cake


My review

These are gorgeous! It is a soft, fluffy sponge cake that tastes really good 

Poulain Chocolate 

A Milk Chocolate  bar


My review 

This is just a plain chocolate bar. It tastes good but nothing special about it 😀

Brossard Brownie

Chocolate chip Brownie


My review 


This was richer than I expected but just a standard chocolate brownie.

Nestle Nuts

Milk Chocolate bar with a creamy caramel filling combined with crispy, whole hazelnuts

3D's Bugles

A fun bugle shaped corn snack that are peanut flavoured.


My review 

I couldn't eat more than 1 of these! When I opened the packet there was a strong nut smell. I don't like nuts much so I think this affected my review but these were not very nice at all.

Pepito Pockitos

A biscuit bar with melted chocolate inside


My review

I'm honestly not sure what to make of these - it tastes ok, but really rich. The filling is like a really rich melted chocolate. I struggled to get through the whole bar at once but it is nice 😀


Lu Napolitain

A fluffy sponge cake with a layer of chocolate filling topped with chocolate sprinkles


My review 


This was really nice - like a sponge and chocolate cake. I wasn't a fan of the icing though and think it would be better without it but it was still really nice.

Poulet Roti Chips

Roast chicken flavoured crisps - are these any different to the UK roast chicken flavoured walkers???


My review 

Exactly the same as walkers roast chicken crisps

Lotus Bakeries

A waffle - the box could contain 1 of 3 varieties 


My review 


I found this really dry to he honest. I think I would have preferred it warm.

Carambar 

Chewy Caramel Stick - This is a bonus item in the box

My review 

This was just a stick of toffee. It is very rich and my mouth tasted of caramel for ages after!

And that concludes the France box. My review of this is honestly 10/10 I absolutely love the look of everything. Nothing looks questionable to me. What do you all think? What are your favourite items? Mine have to be the barquette biscuits - I always bring back about 10 boxes whenever I go to France!
